Kajsa Björn - Associate Landscape Architect

Kajsa joined Sydney Design Collective in 2018. With over 12 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, Kajsa brings invaluable experience in concept and detail design, project management, and technical knowledge. Kajsa brings a strong connection and interest in the natural environment and has gained extensive horticultural knowledge of European and Australian plants.

Kajsa has had an extensive career in Landscape Architecture in some of Sydney's best practices after working in Japan, The UK and her native Sweden. Before working with David, she gained great knowledge and design experience creating high-end, small and medium residential and commercial gardens. This has been balanced with community and public projects experience in delivering a wide range of projects. These range from small - medium-scaled, residential, and play spaces to larger-scale urban design and master planning projects.        

Kajsa was the lead designer and project manager for the award-winning Ian Potters Children's Wild Play Garden in Centennial Park, Sydney.

Kajsa has a passion for conceptual design and a  keen eye for detail, focusing on design excellence across all scales. She has been developing two award-winning gold gardens at the Chelsea flower show whilst working for one of England's leading garden designers. Kajsa has also spent over four years working for 360 landscape architects in Sydney. Here she gained great knowledge and design experience creating high-end, small and medium residential and commercial gardens.
