David Duncan - Founder | Director

David has been a practising landscape architect for over 25 years. He has a strong collaborative spirit in design. This has grown to be a  design collective and business collaboration with many architectural and urban design practices in a broad range of disciplines. This includes teaming up with other landscape architecture colleagues.

He focuses on small and medium-scale community and public domain projects.

He provides expertise in master planning design, urban greening, social sustainability, advocacy, green infrastructure and living architecture. He has overseen the design development, management, and delivery of significant Sydney public master plans and public domain projects throughout his professional career, with a diversity of scale, budget, and scope. His extensive experience enables him to guide clients with design scope briefs and communicate what best suits their needs.

David has also worked for community groups to collaboratively bring his design skills to 'upcycling' small public parks and playgrounds. He is mindful of bringing the best from limited budgets that provide great public benefit and responding to today's challenges, such as climate change adaption, Covid 19 impacts and people and natural habitat loss.

He has also been the project landscape architect on many green infrastructure strategies and street tree master plans in the private and public domains. Championing the urban forest and urban greening is a particular area of focus and expertise. He actively contributes to green infrastructure strategies and standards.
