Angel Place
The Angel Place redevelopment and pedestrianisation was part of the City of Sydney Laneway Revitalisation program. These laneways included a public art program that initially was temporary and then has become permanent.

The artwork 'Forgotten Song' laments the loss of day and night bird species that used to inhabit this area pre-development. The overhead artwork is reflected in the paving that has inscriptions within the pavement. The laneway design included phased pedestrian hours after sunset allowing the adjacent restaurants to use the laneway as a dining area.
The paving selections of different finishes create a dynamic lighting effect as the light is refracted with different effects. Angle Place has become a legacy project for Sydney, and albeit a small scope, it is a true example of 'place making'. Project leader while at Aspect Studios
