Mount Druitt Town Centre- West Invest
One of the contestable Public Domain Upgrade Projects as part of the West Invest Project for Blacktown City Council. The Mount Druitt Town Centre reactivation is a new vision for Dawson Mall that reinforces the positive current aspects and provides a new overlay that allows greater cultural expression, play, space for functions and a climate crisis response.
This proposal dovetails with the current design for the play space by Chrofi/JMD so that both spaces complement each other with different roles and functions. The design accommodates a significant artwork that intends to be interactive and playful. Festivals and after-hours community events will have space provided.
